What I had to do to keep people out of the ones I take care of, is install the cabinet locks on the canopy and stand doors on reef and saltwater tanks. So far I have found change, a plastic bottle cap, bubble gum, a hand painted plastic goldfish from somewhere, 3 dead tiger barbs somebody thought would fit in well with saltwater fish, 4 plastic soldiers, what I think was a piece of a hamburger, and a piece of broccoli. Some of this is at the same retirement home, that I sold everything at my cost, and do labor at 1/2 price, plus donated all decorations. Its just a freshwater chiclid tank though, so not as big of a deal. I finally got the lady who runs it to break down and I will be presenting a estimate for a canopy on monday. I have just been charging for locks as part of set up and salt tanks. One other thing to be careful of, I am sure you know already but just in case, sometimes the people have a bug maintence service guy who will come by once a month and spray bug poision all around the base of your reef tank. Also cleaning people who will spray pledge on top of the canopy, and use stripper and stuff on the floor. I always let the head honcho know what will happen if that does, and that there is no gaurantee on anything, so please let the folks know to leave it alone and not touch it at all.
