What should be done to clean used equipment?

Hi,

I bought some used equipment (power heads, etc). Do I need to do any thing special to resuse (ie, sanitize/clean)?

Also, I have a fresh water tank I am converting to salt water. What should I do to clean it so that fresh water mold/fungi/algae don't cause a problem?

Warm water and vinegar usually does the trick for cleaning used equipment. Make sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards.
