Let's see what the majority are using these days in terms of skimmer design. Hopefully I covered them all. If not, I added "other" to the list :)

In order to use a downdraft skimmer, you must live in or near Sumner....(go Peddy!)

ETSS 1700 here :)

I am going to guess mine as been running longer than most folks skimmers. Anyone else on here remember the Western Marine Conf. in Tukwila? That's when I bought it. (1996?, 1998?)

(Of course, the power consumption since then has paid for many of the "new school" skimmers; but how many are realistically rated for 1800+ gph hour of processing and system size up to 2500g!? ;) )

new skimmer pic

I have an AquaC but am less than thrilled with it. Am thinking of getting one of these two for my 8 gallon nano tank..

Bubble-King 300 internal decked out with a self-cleaning head attachment (what can I say, I like any toys that make life easier).

H&S 250 with 2 Eheim 1260 pumps. Does an awesome job in keeping my tank cleaned with 17 fish.

:)
