Sorry but yes!! she's my baby
Today in the morning i looked at my fishes like everyday and everything seem fine.
I just got home and what do i see.. my false perc clown breathing heavy, and she's not swimming around
could anyone please tell me what's wrong with her  ? why all of a sudden she's breathing heavy?
please, i love her so much that i don't wanna loose her.
what can i do ?

Gabriela - have you tested your water parameters? How is everything else doing? Do you have a hospital tank?

i checked the water and the hydrometer says 32 which is around 1.024,
ph is 8.4, nitrate is 0, nitrite 0, alk says its normal and ammonia says 0.
all my other fishes are fine and no :( i don't have a hospital tank
what can i do Nikki

Whats temp on the tank, is it hot? Is the skimmer doing its secondary job and adding O2 to saturation? Did she maybe jump up and whack herself on something? Just thoughts. Trying to be of some help. Steve

the temp is 78 , yes the skimmer is doing its job and no she didn't jump up.
is there anything i could give her? please i'm deperate

How long have you had the clown?
What was the last fish added/how long ago?
What tank mates?
How is the fish's color, general body shape, any sign of bloating/redness?
Eyes cloudy or bulging?
Swims in the usual listless O. clown fashion?
Any additives or additions that are not normally used?

Cheers
Steve

if had the clown 1< month and your temp isnt raising up in the middle of the day. I'd suggest testing your ph at night(like 3 hours after the lights go out), then the next day after 5+ hours of it being on, if your ph isn't fluctuating to lower than 8.2 at night, and it isn't getting higher than 8.4, I'd add some fresh water and pull your day time ph down to 8.2, unless your doing some delicate hard corals or clams.
imo 8.4 is the highend of the safe zone for fish.
Do you notice any redding or inflamation by the gills?

Thank you everyone but she died last night :(
my clowns have been with me for 2 years, i only had a yellow tail damsel with them nothing else, her color was fine and she didn't have any red spots, but ya she kind of swimm weird.
no it an O, but like shaking. and no i never use any additives.
When she was dying i saw that her color was fading away and she shaked like she was having a heart attack over the sand  , it was horrible.
Now i'm worried about my other clown and my damsel because when she was dying they would come near her.
should i worry?

Gabriela,

So sorry about about your loss. Wish I could of helped, but I couldn't think of a thing to do. I really hope the other tankmates are not affected.

Ken

Thank you Ken
i mean i just can't believe that in the morning she was fine and then when i got home she was breathing very very fast and now she's not with me anymore.
I tried reading as much as i could, but it was to late. :(
when she was dying her tankmates were all around her i guess they were trying to help her.
Last night i was watching my other clown and he looked like he didn't know where to go because they used to sleep close to each other, so i guess i'm gonna wait a few weeks and then get him/ her another mate. :(

I know losses are though. When I first had my 75 gal around 10 yrs ago, my parent were coming to visit. I wanted the tank to look real nice. I had some acrylic polish I would use on the outside of the tank. Well needless to say I got a few drops in my tank, and my favorite fish, a flame hawk died because of it. Stupid things I do.

Ken

Gabriela, I'm sorry that your clown didn't make it :( It's hard losing fish, because it's so easy to get extremely attached. My bi-color blenny died suddenly a few months ago with no symptoms or anything... He was one of my favorites and was from Seattle which made him even more special to me (I miss WA) Anyways, hopefully your other fish will be ok!! You seem to really care about them.

Sorry to hear about the clown Gabriela! You, too, Becky (your bicolor blenny). Did you have a name for her? I completely agree with Becky - you really seem to care about your livestock, so sorry this happened.

Gabriela,
Sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortunately it's hard to pinpoint what might have been the cause, as so many things cause death like you've described. It could've been as simple as a heart attack or some other organ failure. One thing I would check is your night pH level, as Sparks suggested.

As for infectious diseases which may be passed to others, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The open gills are the only sign that might point to that, but unless she's been showing signs of "scratching" a lot lately I would doubt that too. One thing I am curious about, and perhaps you remember... Were the gills pale, dark, or unusually red? This can help narrow what the cause may be.

Again, sorry to hear the news.

Clayton

Thank you everyone :(
Clyton, she never scratched, and about the gills they were a little bit pale at the end when she was dying.
Nikki, we used to call her nemo we couldn't give her the proper burial because we live in an apartment so we are not allowed to do this kind of stuff.
I had to flush her and now everytime i go to the bathroom my son points at the toilet and says nemo.
