You can talk about caving all you want provided you input your TDS for that day with each post :p :D lolol

Isn't that called mud?

Mines 11.

Steve

Naw, down here they call it good Florida sulfur water. Has a real nice smell to it.

LOL Nikki, between all my tanks I change 120 gals a week and evap about 60 gals. So my filters don't last long. :| I added a sediment pre-filter that seems to help.

P.S. I forgot I measure in micro Siemen. So that 420 will be a little higher measured in ppm.

ROFL Steve! Some folks around here would be thrilled to have 11 come out of their RO.

oldsaint - what gpd is your RO/DI? I've found with really high TDS it cuts my output to about half of what it should be. At first I thought it was something with my unit, but when I did a little reading, the gpd was based on a TDS of water less than half of what mine is. Just curious if you experience lower output on your unit than what it is supposed to be.

The RO is rated at 75 gpd but I cheat. I've got a Aquatec booster pump installed after the first sed. filter. I run my pressure at 60 psi and it fills a 65g drum in about 12 hours. So I'm actually getting more out of it.

28 people with below 50 tds out of that tap????? You make me sick! :D 400 out of the tap, just checked....I dont change out my filters near as much as Nikki last reading out of ro/di was 2ppm

90-100 TDS out of the tap.
I live in Issaquah (klahanie area), no chloramines added in our water.

I don't know I never tested I just pour it in the tank
Anybody know where I can get a good price on a TDS meter ?

LoL Robert...it might be better that you don't know :D

Willy - looks like the water on your side of town is better than over here. I don't know what I'd do if my water was as good as some of these folks.

LMAO we'd actually drink it straight from the tap !!

Jiddy - I usually change mine out once I see TDS at 2. It usually isn't too much longer before they shoot up from there, so I like to change them out right away.

Troy! Great to see you, and to see someone else that has horrible water, too! I agree...Thank goodness for RO/DI....I don't want to know what my tank would look like if I used it right out of the tap.

Just got my meter today!!! Mine is 73 on tap well water here in the Pocono mts of Pa. Bout 1.5 hrs N of Philly and 1.5 hrs west of NYC. I know the mid-west has it bad with all the farmers doing god knows what to the fields. My Grandfather lives in grundy county IA and complains all the time bout it.
