when i thought I have seen it all,,clown killed by aptaisa!!!

I was so happy to add this beautiful young pair of percula clowns to my fragtank ..I watched them closely ...after turning off the lights I checked on them again with my flashlights but I was too late . An aptaisa , not even that big hid under a rock and tried to swallow my clown. I had to beat the lifeless body out of the mouth, it did not want to let go ...I cannot believe it ...I just want to share this story with everyone , because before i never consider them a real threat to fish , but now I will be on the lookout...i am still shaking and really sadened..please everybody be careful with little fish !!!!!!:

That's a real bummer. Sorry to hear it. I don't think I've ever heard of that happening before; a bit bizarre, but at the same time, not bizarre at all. Frickin devil aptasia!

sorry to hear about your loss. I never would of expected an aiptasia to take out a clown.

maybe it was trying to get hosted by it... these clowns tend to do that

I'm guessing your clown was dead before the aiptasia got him and did not kill him.

I agree that the Aiptasia most likely did not kill your clown. Sounds like this was a brand new addition to your tank? Chances are it died, from another cause, and just happened to settle near an Aiptasia.

I checked on the clown 10 min before it happened and he was just fine ...if you could have seen how tight it was wrapped around the clown ...I believe he was the killer
