where do you pour your old water

I use to pour mine in the bath tub but then as my puppy got bigger and decided she'd rather drink from the toilet verses her dog bowl i started dumping it in the toilet. I don't think she cared to much for the salty taste.

With a larger tank pouring wastewater down the drain may corrode the sewer pipes

Do you live in an older house say 30 years plus ? It is my understanding that only really old houses have water/sewer pipes that are made of Iron which is prone to corrosion but because I am not a plumber I could be mistaken. Newer houses from the 70's on up started using ABS plastic sewer pipes and copper for the inlet plumbing, becasue saltwater is extremely corrosive I have no idea the effect it could have on a septic system but wouldn't it be impossible for saltwater to corrode plastic pipes
