Hey everybody I was hoping some one knows where to get tropic marin pro locally(seattle etc.. area) or reasonably on the internet. I found a place for $61.95, but it was $35.00 for shipping. Thanks.

$74.98 total shipped for a 200 gal bucket of TM Pro Reef from Drs. Foster & Smith. I just ordered one this week. :)

You may find that if you are a great supporter of a local LFS that you may not get a GREAT deal on items needed, but, You will get AMAZING deals on other stuff that you want or need later. Buying from the same person, supporting those you deal with will be more benificial in the long run.

Just my opinion. I like deals too, but, I like when I can go somewhere and they recognize me when I walk in. I seem to get better deals that way. Here in Canada I have been paying 90.00 for a bucket of Pro reef. But what ever I want, they get for me, even if they don't stock it.

Detri I totally agree with you especialoly since I use to manage a lfs, but in this case I went to my LFS that sells the Tropic MArin Pro and they wanted $150 for it and that is a little to much of a difference.

I know, many of the LFS arounf here sell it for 140+. There is no question that this salt is great. But, Seachem is a close second for quality. IO is a great product for the price (which I used to use). But the benifits I have found from Tropic Marin outway IO. I have to add less and less additives per water change.

In your case i would have to say buy where you can $150 is very steep. Hopefully prices will change as the demand grows. Marine Depot is a great alternative. They don't seem to have the need to sell the price they do. But how can you turn that down.
