Which LED spotlight for 30x30 frag tank

I just got a 30x30 frag tank and looking to put up a par38 12x3watt led light. After looking on ebay Reef Aquarium LED Spot Light 12W Par 38 Coral Lighting White/Blue or W/B/Red | eBay

i am trying to see if I should shoot for 1:1 white /blue or 6:4:2 white/blue/red. is that a good deal on this light or anyone have any better recommendations?

They say there for a square of 15"x15". I would say that you would need 2. Last I heard was they're $120 ish per bulb.

I would say run at least 36 3w led's for that size tank

Look at Reefstar par56 they have 21watts and are dimable I had 2 of them over a 24x15x20 and every thing in my system was loving it. Sps all the way down to my zoas if you go with a par lamp get one with more leds rather thaen less so the colors blend better and you dont end up with the bad color banding that you get with some lamps that only have a few leds in them.

Fyi for the OP, the link you gave are 1 watt leds x 12. So be advised that these are really not enough for the size of your tank. I would really suggest that you do DIY, if you are good at it.

Here is a simple calculator to know how much you need.

Ignore the brand of the leds, just use the wattage for reference. 1 led is equal to 3 watts.

I have seen a 300 gallon cube 30" deep sps dominated lit with 1 watt leds =)

Im not saying it cannot be done, what im saying is that you have to consider that those are one watts and you will need more that one PAR38. And sometimes more does not work because of the space you have on your hood or above your tank. Also FYI to OP that there are 1 watters and 3 watters for those PAR38's. That is why there are price differences. the $60 dollar ones is not always the same with the $120 ones.

Got one of these over my 312 gallon tank it will cover a 24" x 24" area down to 30" deep no problem You can adjust the brightness of the whites and blues seperately. Plus all the leds are on a single microchip very cool looking
