White sand or black sand?

I have a bluesided wrasse and use black Tahitian moon sand in two tanks with wrasse. I love the look of it and it's Taylor made for jawfish. I use it in my carpet tank and it colors everything real nice. I plan on using it for my cube tank also. But I only use it as the top layer and have oolite making up most of the depth since it's 4-5" deep. It works well and looks great. As far as fish coloration goes my blue sided wrasse colored up real nice to include a brilliant blue belly. That my two cents worth.

What I think I might do is use the oolite and possibly sprinkle the black sand for accent. Not sure yet, I might just stay with the straight oolite. My yellow coris wrasse likes to dive into the sand and spray it. It gets on my mushrooms and rock, but the mushrooms seem to rid themselves of it. He really enjoys himself while making a mess, but I still love him, he is a character.
