White sand

I am wanting to buy some white sand for my aquarium. What do you recommend? Also there are 2 type of white sand on Ebay? Is any1 using that sand?

I have a 150 gallon aquarium planning to do DSB.

I think you should repost this in the general disscusion forum.I have not used either so I'm no help there, however if you do use "dead sand" it would be beneficial to seed it with some live sand from the LFS or perhaps some members here could help you out with a handful of sand from thier established system.

Oh and make sure its not too fine or you will have a hard time keeping it out of the water column IME.

I usually just get dry sand from petco. 2 parts fine sand, 3 parts crushed coral. Works well for me.

My black sand is fine. I wouldn't reccomend it being fine.
I hate the way I have to have my power heads so I don't get huge sand banks.
I would go with a more corse sand after having this.
