i have a legit guy on craigslist that i buy frags from, know his stuff is legit i am am comfortable putting it in my tank. the price could not be better.

I have bought my corals from a mix of local stores and buying/trading from fellow reefers. I believe it's quite important for us to support our local stores as much as possible.

I've bought from LFS, Online and Private Party.

I do agree with what Rainydave said, it is important for everyone to try and support the local stores. But I will draw the line when those local stores don't have as good of a deal as the online guys and gals.

That said, most recently a lot of my corals and nems have come from online, as I've started collecting more unique species that can be a little pricey at times if purchased locally.

Cheers,
Alex

Very true with the gurantee. I lost a nem recently due to FedEx late delivery and the seller was able to receive a refund for the shipping so they're sending me out a new nem after the first for free. Arrive Alive gurantees, love them.

Wondering who you buy most of your livestock from.

You guys have Aquatic Dreams in Post Falls right? I've bought a few things from Kevin when he was in Spokane, all of which were priced fairly and of great quality. I've also purchase a few fish from Steve at Coral Reef, also priced fairly. If you are ever in the neighborhood of Missoula, MT (on I-90), Dan at Reefmissoula keeps a pretty good stock of fish & coral too. I guess I started out with Live Aquaria and SaltwaterFish.com then found great value in the knowledge of some LFS Owners. Slim pickings in Montana!

I voted local store but to answer your question , who do you prefer to buy corals from, I have only got corals from local reefers.

So I try to buy locally. The problem is that somethimes locally may not have exactly what I am looking for. So I do alot of my necessities from my local fish store and my elite pieces are online purchases. I wish I had a great store like Barrier right around the corner, Wait no I don't I would be broke and kids would be eating top ramen all day every day.

I have to correct my statement about buying corals. I have purchased corals online but I tried to forget about it because every one of them is dead.
