I am working, it sucks cause my wife and kids are off today.

Working....and I work for the government....we used to get Columbus Day off...but they swapped it for Martin Luther King Equality day here about 8 years ago or so...let's see....day off in early October, weather is still usually ok and it's hunting season...or....a day off in the middle of January when it's cold and nasty out and nothing going on other than ice fishing....hmm....:lol: I was never happy with the swap....:lol:

I'm off but not because of Columbus Day. I work 4/10's and today is my normal 3rd day off. I don't get any holidays off unless they fall on a day off....ofcourse we get double time and a half when we work holidays and bank 10 hrs of PTO when we have them off, so it's not all bad.
