I have to say I have a deep respect for people that spend time educating others because they love the hobby. Everyone of the people that I have spoke with have been very polite, very charismatic, full of energy.
They love educating people and it shows. I am knocking on doors trying to get a guest speaker for August Meeting right now. I was able to email a few people that I thought would bring in crowd. I am not sure if it will work, but I am trying. If I can not make them visit this summer. The second Thing I ask is if I can hope is that they visit on here and share their wealth. I am not sure if I have a favorite. They all rock. Anthony C. Eric B, Barry N, Sanjay Y, Steve T, Terry B, RHF, Charlie D, Julian Sprung, Adelaide R.
There are a few people that do not give speaches that share their wealth here. RF mighty Mojo, RF Kevin Po, Boomer (still trying to figure out who this is) I want to say thanks and take the time to raise my glass and say keep up the good work. I am glad your here. I am glad that all can communicate and learn freely here. Whos my favorite, hard to pick a favorite when they treat you with equal respect.
Heres to you, thanks...:) Sincerely Ed
Ok, who is your favorite and why?

Actually Nikki, Steve W and Big T. They are all experts at something here. Well, atleast know alot more than I do, and Nikki must have a HUGE favorites list. These 3 have helped me directly or indirectly in some way.

As for an author, I can't really say yet. I don't really understand everything that is writen in the books I am have read. But all have explained thing a little diffrent than the other. I think alot of the confusion is the scientific names used. You here or read alot about corals that are reffered to in there common names all the time. When you read the book you read the scientific names. So learning to identify corals both ways will take some time for me. It's getting easier though.

For authors, I'm gonna say Anthony Calfo, because he explains things in human terms that an old hippy like me can understand.
As far as people on this board, it is the people I PM the most and call. They know who they are, I don't think it is fair to single out names, because there are more than the normal share of knowledgeable people here.
I think I have learned something from everybody, it just becomes a filtration system!!:D

hmm that's not fair i like to many.
Let's see, Linkki, Steve, Mojo, MikeS,Curtswearing,Steve S, Krish (we might joke a lot, but he knows good stuff),Detri (he makes it understandable for me), Elmo, Big T, and my list goes on and on, there's tons of people that i like and that i am learning from and i think that if i was about to continue i'd never finish :). .
About Authors hmm... so far i really like Anthony Calfo, he's kewl.

Thanks Gabby :D I never thought I would be put into this type of catagory. But, don't under estimate yourself. You make alot of things very understandable for me too. Specially when it is topics in Anthony's forum.

Thanks!

Naww i still have a lot to learn.
But i do really like when you write and you don't abreviate stuff which i really like it because sometimes i don't have a clue what people is talking about :p.

Heh, I don't abreviate much becuase of when I was in the army. I was a little embaraced when they asked me to get the OHP. (Over Head Projector) I had to ask what that was. Got laughed at. So I try not to do it as often as I can remember.

Atleast what you do know, you talk about it.

Krish (we might joke a lot, but he knows good stuff

Yeah...Definately brain washed by the excessive stir fry(LOL) I've actually never read any books besides glancing through a few fish magazines. RF is all I've ever needed. You can't ask a book a question so for me, I'd say the majority of the active members here. I've learned all I know about saltwater aquariums from you most all of you guys...I hope that is saying a lot:)

Yeah...Definately brain washed by the excessive stir fry

LMBO !!!!  don't say the word stir fry, it gives me nightmares dood.
true, you don't really have to deal with sick fishes because you just put them back in your backyard.. but still school, i'm learning a lot from you and your tank AND the Bahamas :D
