JUst cleaned the intakes and now my ampmaster is superloud ..unit is like 4 months old ...it is a 4700...any ideas ..did dirt get trapped ? should I open it ...hesitant cause I haven 't disconnected it yet ..should I just run it for awhile ...should I turn it off..it is for my closed loop

If you just cleaned it, then you may of freed some debris and is caught in the impeller. Can you take it offline, clean out the impeller section? Did you lube it? You may be able to find a diagram Online to take it apart and lube if necessary, goggle it!

I do not have a check valve on the return so I get a little backwash. Last week my pump was spitting air bubbles and clicking. Power off and out comes a section of macro. I would vote debris.

my ampmaster is getting less noisy ...what are my chances that debris in impeller can just eliminate itself?

Dolphin Ampmasters will usually clean themselves out with a few power cycles. Just unplug it and restart a few times. If this doesnt work then tear it down.

I found the same as what Don says. Best if possible when you shut it down to not have any check-valve preventing the water return. Sort of wash/backwash/wash/backwash. Like working a car out of a rut. The pebble in there can get knocked loose and blasted out.
