It has always seemed pretty strange to me that most of the people that are supposed to be the big names in the trade never have their tanks all over the net in posts or threads. I have seen a couple of pictures of Borneman's tank from a distance to where you can't see anything inside and I have seen Paletta's tank in person, but aside from that I have never seen pictures of Sprung, Shimek (does he even know how to keep a tank/- sorry, I couldn't help it  ), Calfo, Holmes-Farley, Siegel, Scheimer, etc. The list goes on. It is a shame because I can honestly say I did not know what a SPS tank could look like until I saw Paletta's tank, so I know the others must be great jewels just the same.

Why are they so secretive? Why do they hide them??

Interesting observation. Not just the big names though I love to see other people's tanks. I get some great ideas from looking at other's tanks. Some have a lot of fish, some a lot of softies, some a lot of stonies, etc... I love this hobby more and more every day and to see the possibilities in other people's tanks is very inspirational.

Yeah that is an interesting thought. Maybe we could get Anthony in here to show us his. :D
Maybe they are growing secret corals
Worse yet, maybe they are trying to interbreed finger leathers and a. tortuosa

Wow frankenstein tanks would be cool. If you could cross breed corals what would you mix?

Cross pulsing Xenia with Green star poylops. That would be super cool. Shoot us a pic Mr. Calfo. I look forward to drooling. STEVE

Bornemans tank I believed crashed last year, I am not sure if its back up or fully recovered yet.
Anthonys tank I believe was taken down along with his farms, not sure if he has set one up again or not.
Dr Ron I believe has stopped trying to keep a tank after the third crash.
Randy has a softie tank bit I have never seen it
Sprung doesnt have a tank
not really sure about the rest. I think Alberto you are looking in the wrong places for nice tanks :p

Any ideas as to why they crashed?? I guess if these guys write volumes on how to do it successfully maybe they should also write and let us know how not to be successful? Thats a bit of a worry to me now. Any ideas?

Ive been fixing cars for 20 years. I have NO desire to have the great cars that I used to. I spend all day giving advice and searching for ways to do it better. In fact my garage has been turned into a wood shop and I've outlawed opening a hood in my driveway. I own a 1/4 million in tools but you'll be hard pressed to find a screwdriver at my house.

How about cross breeding a digitata with a montipora capricornis? Like the scroll or bowl look and color with the polyp extensions would be cool. Or put the ricordea polyps on a brown digitata, that would look sweet.
