Will this work for a DIY Nano refugium?

I have a spare one and Im wanting to turn it into a refugium, will it work? Like on a 3 gallon pico?

I've never attempted to build one out of that HOB power filter, but have built a few out of the AquaClear Power filters and they work great. Just clamp on a lil' lamp and you're good to go. I don't see why it wouldn't work with the type you've linked too.

yeah, I didnt think it would that hard. I was going to seperate the two sections with some screen and add a small light and go for it.

That's all I did. I didn't use any sand, just a big ball of Chaeto. Pods populated like crazy in there.

I am getting a 3 gallon pico and then getting a http://www.hellolights.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=419 and using the light that came with the pico as the light for the refugium.
