Glad you are doing okay Alberto ... sounds bad. I have been watching the news about it. Lots of power out for sure. I hope you regain yours very soon. Glad you have a generator. Keeping my fingers crossed things recover quickly.

Glad to hear you made it through the hurricane safely Alberto, but sorry to hear about the power issues etc. Thanks for coming on and letting us know everything is cool with you. Take it easy.

Had some damage to the roof, but minor really. 95%+ of Palm Beach County (one of the largest and most populated in FL) has no power and they are talking about 2-8 weeks depending on where you are!!! This generator crap is going to get old soon. Thank god it was cold yesterday and today!! If this had been 2 weeks ago with 90 degree weather would be baking in misery!

Lots of trees down everywhere and lot sof destruction. This hurricane was worse than both we got last year by far. Also, very deceaving by the news as they kept saying all the way until sunday evening that it would hit the west coast of FL at about 100 MPH winds max and then it would weaken significantly so by the time it got to us we would only see 60-80 MPH winds at most. I figured since it was not going to be so bad, I did not put my hurricane window shutters! I regreat that BIG TIME!! Regreat it for the fear mostly because I got no damage without them. It is times like this with so much fear that makes you really appreciate what has value and doesn't.

Took some pictures, but I guess I can't upload them until I get power. More later on.

Thanks for the update, my wife and I have everyone in our thoughts. We have family in Florida, we have yet to hear from them.

That sounds like us for Rita, it kept turing our way & the media didn't change the status in our area, it easily could of turned more & we would of been stuck, it was just too close, Lili tore us up pretty bad a few years back, we went witout power & it was HOT. If this keeps up we will need to move farther inland, might have to head to the hills. Hope you find gas soon Alberto, you better get all you can because that will be scarce, it is just getting better here.

Alberto, I heard that there is a curfew in effect for Ft. Lauderdale...Is it the same where you are too. I've also heard fro our freight fowarder that 8 private planes by their hanger, was flipped over! Sounds pretty nasty if you ask me, but like I've said before, glad everything is ok with you.
