I am finally ready to get started on my tank thread, it's been quite the learning process so far, and I really appreciate everyone here and in the PSAS for all the mentoring. Just finished my first frag swap yesterday, what a zoo but a great time. Even picked up a Bob Moore frag.

So here we go.
History: I started with a 75 gallon tank I had for 10 years, fish only bleach tank, it was in my office and I had it professionally maintained. Livestock 15" Voltan Lionfish, Maroon Clown, Naso Tang, and a snowflake eel. It moved between a couple of offices before I decided to bring it home and build a home office. About the same time an LFS opened (Chronic Reefer) in Bellingham and started my obsession. Switched to live sand & rock, and started doing my own maintenance, picked up some corals and softies and began the process of learning, bought lights T5, skimmer HOB prizm (mess making POS) and figured out my bio load and nitrates/phosphates were uncontrollable. Started working on how to put in a refugium.

This schlero died long ago along with a denronepthya, they seemed fine until I removed all my bioballs, and they both withered away.... Colorful but obviously i didn't have the right stuff.

The new tank after drilling for returns and plumbing, 1" bulkheads, gate valves on all. Purchased used from Dr Deano...

From the front, the bottom lockline spraybar, 2 returns left, 2 returns right, installing a scwd thought about oceans motions $$$$, I also have a return over the top with one of those moving spray heads.

The tank first light, and filling her up. The quote over the tank which was in this room for 5 years prior says
"The cure for anything is saltwater,
sweat, tears or the sea - Isak Dinesen"

freaky that the tank ended up here... It is plumbed into the garage and the sumps / refugiums.

Most everything moved, plumbing not quite complete, using tunze wavemakers until I repair my dolphin pump and get the scwd plumbed... freshly back from psas fragfest 2009 an awesome event...
