My wife recently bought a colony of Zoanthids on some live rock about 3 days ago. This morning while feeding the fish she noticed a gray bristle worm come out about 2 inches....then went back into the live rock with zoanthids. I had a buddy of mine over and we saw it again in the live rock so we got some tweezers and attempted to pull it out...in the comic way things go it was pulled out of the rock but slipped out of the tweezers. I was able to recapture it but in the process found another type of worm. Here is the pic of the bristle worm (I'm pretty sure thats what it is):
For size reference...here is the same worm with a penny:
Now here is the worm we found in the process of catching the above worm:
My question is what kind of worm is it? Is it good or bad? If good I'll put it back in the tank...if not...well my last question...do I feed it to the big bristle worm and then use him for fish bait? Thanks for any and all response.
Also, if my buddy posts a stupid reply about how comic it was ... its all lies and I disavow all knowledge of it
