Was thinking about modding my odyessa fixture taking out the x2 14w t5s and replacing them with power bright led's cutting a hole in the reflector for each led bulb and hiding the heat sink behind it.

Am curious if the corals will get better supplement with the 14w crappy t5's or the x2 power bright strips making 8 led's total.

Of course the color is amazing with the led's..

I have a fan running 24/7 on the tank.. going from side to side. Through the vent i can keep the right side of the fixture facing the fan open if necessary. Wont take away from looks.
If i keep the heat sink behind the reflectors and just run the bulb through them am i risking led failure?

Was hoping to install it like this but am going to look into other reflectors..

Was originally thinking about screwing the led panel ti the heat sink and just running the bulbs through the reflector.. but now worried about heat.

mod the 2 ends also with pc fans one sucking air in and one blowing it out. that should solve the heat issue. only thing I could really see is the LED's burning out prematurely
