Wow BIG eartquake rocks Asia

I was just speaking to my wife who is devistated by this earthquake. My wife and I were going to be meeting her Mother, Step dad and brother in Phuket in a couple days. Well Simon her step dad passed away about 3 months ago and shortly after that I got orders to go on this deployment. So Polly's Mom and brother were almost there flying from England, and are currently stuck in Singapore and don't know what is happening or when they can get back or anythign. Polly was going to fly from Seatac in a couple days to meet them. We also have friends there who own a little resort on the beach where we. So now we are just waiting to see what will happen and are hoping that our friends are ok. Polly's mom had a small container of Simon and was going to spread his ashes in his favorite place in the world.

My sympothies go out to the thousands and thousands of dead and injured people and thier families.

Man, my thoughts & prays go out to those people. Was watching the nightly news an one person they interviewed said it jolted the earths rotation :shock:. Checked the AP and sure enough its there also!

Oh sorry, I did get a update last night. Our friends are fine, but the hotel they owned is completely destroyed. My wife is on a plane right now going to England, and my mother and law and her son are safely back in England. I am going up there on the 8th thru the 11th. It sure will be nice to see my wife for a few days to brake up this time away.

It really is unbelievable what a bitch mother nature can be!
