I JUST finished reading your entire "Tank setup" thread! I really do have to thank you, That is an awsome thread for noobs like me. Every single question I have ever thought of asking (but affraid to ask, cuz I feel like I bother these fine folks here sometimes) is in that thread, plus 1000 more that I never thought of yet. And you know, even though I have had my tank up and running for 2 months, there is still a ton of information in there to help me. From closed loops to water chemistery. That is bang on man. \

By the way, your tank is real nice.

Are you joking or are you serious? No im just messing you, not to toot my own horn (i have lots of friends to do that for me, or do they do it because im so handsome??? LoL) but i agree with you, that is kind of why i stayed in my own little forum and asked so many questions, that way someone could take a week off work an read the whole thing, i tried to stay on topic, and when Krish went off topic i just deleted his post, lol. No seriously thou, thank for you compliments but you still cant have my cookies, im holding them for Woodstock, nevermind...... I was serious Jiddy, its hard for the new guy coming here to ask questions. Specially when you know there are 1000 posts in these forums that answer your question, over and over and over..... I just don't want to become a pest is all. But yea. Took alot of searches to find that thread finally, not that I was looking for that one. But, when I stumbled across it and started reading I couldn't stop reading it. All the Do's and Don'ts' made alot of sense to alot of things I was trying to figure out.

I still ask alot of questions and want to participate in the site happenings. I just don't want to feel so much like a noob. Threads like that take alot of that from a person and helps orient themselves with what people are trying to say to them.

Referrals are very important! I welcome you to out refer me, or anyone for that matter. The more folks we can get to share their experiences, the better the board will be. Besides....I can't believe people actually claim they know me .

Ken- I tried to read the whole thread over once and i ended up realizing how many things i wish i would of done differantly, even a noob pro like me did a lot of things wrong, wish i would of got bigger mags for my CL's, but is all good i suppose, thanks for tellin my my tank looks good, your...... avatar looks good to buddy! lol

And Ron thanks for the words, i knew you were serious, jus messin with you. And i agree, i came in and just started firing away with questions, if no one would answer me then id just look up the 25 links that nikki gave me! But i agree it was kind of nice to be able to start my tank with RF, im the RF baby you know, raised by wolves,errr..... dont know where i was going with that, but yea. And for the most part my tank is doing really well, soon as Ken comes over to catch some crabs, (in my tank) then i will be near perfect! I def. am going to buy a custom tank for my next one thou. Glad i could be of some help, well not me but everyone that helped me, lol!

And Nikki, You definatly have me in the ol' post cat. so ill have to start gettin more referrals, i must agree that everyone benefits from that! I have to come clean thou, one of those referrals was my wife, but still....... lol

Yea, Well I skipped most of what Jiddy said, that cut the thread down to about 3 pages. Kidding, Yea i did. I thought it was a great thread the humor made it all more intreasting to read. I laughed, I cried, I got scared then just when I thought it was over there was another page. It's kind of a good Do's anf Don'ts thread. To bad it couldn't get edited to keep all the good stuff from that thread in one smaller pile.

Yeah it is a cool story...I mean cool thread to read(LOL) Jiffs a cool guy Detri, and if you didn't know, Jiddy is the old fellow. He is now Jiff or Jiffy since he renamed me Krick!(LOL) His thread probably helped him become Septembers MOTM because it displayed Jiff's true character...Funny, cool, smart a#$, and always eager to learn and add a few of his own personal touches here and there. Definately a cool guy who's supposed to come to the Bahamas for me to introduce him to some gold tooth Bahamians which he once told me he had heard about!(LOL)

I'm not even sure Jiddy read that entire thread... Wow Detri, I think that might earn you "Member of the Year" or something.

Don't hesitate to ask as many questions as you want, even really dumb ones; Jiddy never did. When people ask lots of questions it really helps people feel smart when we answer them, err, I mean it really helps people who are also looking for answers.

BTW Jiddy, when are we going to see updated pictures of your tank? I think your personal chunk of the ocean there constitutes roughly half of the unfrozen water in SD during the winter months.
