The Tank I have for my son is damaged and may not be repairable. I tried but the repair failed I will try to order The top part but may not be able to get it. So I am looking for him for any used tanks He had a 125 gallon 72" x 18" x 22" .Has anyone got one let me know the size and price please :)

it is a 3/8" all glass tank it has a 1 piece injection molded top frame with 2 center braces one of the braces was broken and is missing the tank dimensions are 72" long x 18" font to back x 23" tall I bought a piece of 1/4" thick glass 18" long x8" wide and siliconed it to the front and back sides underneath the frame on the inside but the pressure of the water pulled it apart and several people have told me I either buy a new injection molded top frame and try to put it back on or buy a tank :)

i wonder if making a custom acrylic or metal top would do it?

its funny trying to explain to people how much that skinny cross brace on the top of long tanks does.

its a hell of a risk fixing it though, uless you are 100% positive you got a good solution, especially once you invest a few grand on the contents of the tank.

Hey i wonder if you contacted the tank manufacturer and asked about getting a new top? I think this is the piece you need right? the "cap" to the tank? holds it all together?

yes I was making efforts buy a new top frame but my son seems to want to invest some cash in another tank and is looking for any used deals I will drain it 1/2 way or more place the 1/4" thick glass 18" long x8" wide back in place and bar clamp the outside of the tank till it just fits enoughp to hold the glass in place then refill with what we have ( some soft coral and rocks given to him to start off with) until a replacement is found and the sooner the better as this is just temporary if i did not have the corals and rock i would just tear it down but I don't want rubbermaid containers on the floor again as i had it this way for 6 weeks waiting to get the stand built and canopy etc.

sweet, yeah a 125gal tank seems just too expensive to give up on.

this may not help you much but there is still one or two 75 gal tanks for sale up here at our LFS for pretty cheap, something like 80 bucks off of list price. THats when i bought my 75 gal, but now for the life of me i cannot remember what i payed... its all the fumes from mowing the lawn going to my tiny Marine brain.

meh...
