Yes, I burn them off with my aptasia burner. Works like a charm. I see your close, if you want to come over this weekend for a tutorial. I have a few aptasia and some xenia that need tending too. muahahahaha :rip::rip::rip:

I'd love to come over this weekend and learn your technique. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

i hope he chimes in but.....i believe he said he had built a uv light (when he was trying out new leds) and just had some uv over tank and pooof it was gone in a matter of days....they dont like the uv i geuss....it melted it... i remeber his rocks were covered with it from left to right ....now there is not a speck after uv light went over it..

Yeah, I don't want to kill them all, just weed some out and be able to continue to do so when they get to numerous. I wouldn't mind giving some away. I can't really take the piece of live rock out, there are too many corals on it and it is a pretty big piece. I had then on a small rock that I laid into a crevice of the big rock and the xenia decided to break out a mountaineering party and ascend the north face and they made it. (No casulties)

I have always had good luck with a toothbrush or stiff bristle nylon brush and srub your troubles away. Some Xenia is easier to get rid of than others. Although I have seen Duane (Trido) use his burner and it is much easier and faster too. :D

Cheers,
Alex
