Xenia question

So I've got a piece of pom pom xenia that is halfway split from one rock and another rock. I need to take this to the frag swap tomorrow, can I just use a knife and cut it where it is attached inbetween the two rocks? I would assume this is alright, just want to make sure. Thanks guys.

use a razor blade, and remember what ever stays behind will grow new stalks..
