My yellow coral has lost some color and looks brownish its polyps look brownish and hardly come out any more. My purple lether has developed some white spots and seems quite sick but the polyps still come out.any ideas?? I am new to the reef hobby.

Most likely they are just aclimating to the switch. When i did mine it took about a month. My leathers did it to...Hope this helps...Just test water regularly

That is what it is. put everything low .Start with a short time cycle and gradually work it up .The First week i changed my lights .My metal halides were on a 6hr timer after a week 7hr and so on.Till i got to my 12hr cycle..And slowly bring corals up as they start to adapt....:)

my leather wich was a real buety died the same way u describe ur one with the white spots i think it didnt like th light switch from flours to a 400 watt halide hope ur coral cums around but if u loose it they arent that expensive to replace
