yellow tang

So my yellow tang is in love with purple fire goby.. he goes over and swims around him/her and looks like it is flirting with it, No tail swipes or anything it really looks like flirting tries to rub on it, and when my 2 pj cards. are not happy with each other he swims over and breaks them up.. he is the funnest little fish I have even seen he comes over to the glass when I walk up to the tank and says hi then swims around and then comes back over again to check on me and to see what i am doing and will just sit there and stare at me. is this normal? or do i have a crazy fish?

I have heard of tangs breaking up fights before, not sure how common it is though.

Really though, sounds like hes gonna be a fun fish with a great personality. I've seen mine get between two fish before, like it was breaking up a fight.

I think there might be some transposed craziness going on here. Are you sure it's the fish that is crazy? Glad your are enjoying your new friends Hunter. I think we need an updated tank shot on your build thread though.

Better dirty than poon.

Tangs as part of the surgeonfish family have very little natural resistance to parasites. Thus depending on constant travel to never bed down in the same location and utilizing cleaners to keep clean. Get a couple cleaner shrimp and it will give up on the fish.

I have a flametail blenny that follows the McCoskers wrasse around the tank like an annoying little brother. Since he is not as fast he will follow for awhile and then back into his sea shell or sit on a rock to rest. When I go up to the glass, my two bangaii cardinals and a couple of my zebra dartfish come up to check me out. I know what their thinking..."Got any food?" Fish are so funny and all have great personality.
