Alright so after looking for nano ideas my mom suggested I ask the guy who I sold my original 29 to a couple years back. Well... perfect timing because he needed some $ for a bike and I needed the tank! Got it for $50 with the sapphire aquatics original biocube skimmer, 3 pumps, heater, refractometer, stand, salt... needless to say a good deal! So earlier today I picked it up cleaned it all checked for leaks and went out to get the live rock, got it all set up now and I need help with the skimmer in the back... for some reason it doesn't seem to be fitting right or bubbling weird, causing the pump to spray tons of bubbles into the main tank.

what does the return look like on the skimmer? If its just a tube, you could try putting a sponge or something on it, although you'd have to keep it clean. My old skimmer had a plastic basket with a very porous sponge in it. The sponge had a hole that was maybe a half inch bigger than the return tube, and the tube sat about an inch back from the end of the bored hole in the sponge.

I'm guessing that a good skimmer hung on the back of a tank is going to put out bubbles though. If you don't want any bubbles, you'll need to install it in a sump with a bubble wall

my 1st gen sapphire skimmer doesn't put any bubbles into the display of my BC29

Mine's the 1st gen... I just don't feel like im setting it up right in there for some reason (as its been 2 years since ive had it! lol) it's not spraying into the tank anymore but can I please see some pictures of your skimmer setup?
