Ok, In an effort to add SOMETHING to the new post list other than tank porn, let's try this...what's the oldest fish and or coral you have or have kept??

new reefer but long time freshwater and had a ghost knife that hung around for 12 yrs.

GS

wow...the BGK is one of my all time favorite fish...mines so shy, i feel lucky whenever i do see it come out though. ive had my current one for only about a year, and it was only about 3" when i got it...so still a youngster

I have a pair of gold stripe maroon clowns that I've had more than 16 years, and they might have been around a year old when I got them.

I have a coral beauty angel that I've had for 10+ years.

Wow, that's amazing... We have our clowns for about a month... not long, I know, but they've been there since the beginning.

For my oldest fish, I have a leopard wrasse that I've had the last 7 years. Most of my fish just end up getting too big and I have to trade them in. Some other notable fish I've had were a group of anthias I kept alive for 5 years before trading them back in (couldn't keep feeding them twice a day after I finished school), and a 5 year old mandarin that died mysteriously.

For my oldest coral, I have a purple haze monti that I've had for close to 9 years. I bought it from Tim and Cy before they started BRA, and I still frag it regularly.

Do you have pictures of the leopard wrasse?
I have one too that I got back in 2010.
He doesn't look anything like he used to.
Looks more like a melanurus wrasse.

20141231_174731.jpg took this one with my phone so apologies for the quality.

Yah, at the garage! I am pretty sure I bought it the weekend Scott Michael came in to town to give PSAS a presentation.

The oldest fish is a royal gramma about 7 years old. For coral I have a Green Psammocora, and purple yumas that I have had for 12+ years.

Hey finn, i have 360 pounds of sand to wash so i can put a leopard wrasse in the new tank. are you unhappy with the fish in maturity? it probably won't change my mind, i'm just wondering..

i have 2 yellow fiji damsels and one of my two clowns from early 2010, two chromis and clown goby from mid 2010

Howdy Mfinn,

Yah the males and females have different coloration. Yours must have switched to a male!

Wish I had a picture of him, but I had a Blackcap Basslet for about 5 years through multiple tanks. He was a trooper 'till he started swimming upside down for a day or two and then died :(. RIP Buddy.
