I have been looking for an ID on these for a while now. The closest I can find is in coralpedia, kinda like bam bams or oxides but cant find an exact match. Anyone have any ideas?
I don't know about the bam bams. Could be a possible morph, but the bam bams I have are ultra bright orange all the way through, and don't have the darker center or "nipple".
I changed the white balance to flouresent from daylight. Any of the other settings made everything really purple or red. So here's another pic with new setting. Also coralpedia is the only place I looked for an ID, is there any other site I could check out to try to get a name for these guys? Thanks.
It's hard to compare picture to picture but these were my first thought: http://coralpedia.com/index.php?module=Gallery2&g2_itemId=49
The safecrackers in the pics on coralpedia appear to have a darker center and outer ring than your pic seems to, but it could be your pic and it could be your lighting - lower light will give a darker appearance, while if yours ARE in fact safecrackers, having them in a higher light setting could result in the way they look in your photos.
Would you say that your zoas are more red or orange in person? if you say red I lean towards them being safecrackers
I have since changed lights from 50/50 pc's to t5 ho. They are darkening up a lot. darker orange and really dark purple ring and center. I was thiking oxide also but now..once again...I'm not sure. I'll get a new pic later. Now that I can turn off the actinic the pics aren't as washed out with purple.
pretty close to bam bam's....do they put of a rainbow center? I have some just like that, that I was calling orange somethingorothers that had a rainbow center.
