zoanthid eating nudibranch

hope you get it figured out soon i have been lucky

Yeah, it may take a little time and alot of watching, dipping and treating.
My penalty for not doing the proper thing in the first place.
I knew better.
Hope others see this and learn.
I've put a nice zoanthid collection at risk.

I don't think any wrasses will eat zoanthids. It's just a matter of finding the best wrasse in the Halichores family.
Yellow coris wrasses are suppose to be good hunters.

They do have a 3" melenarus wrasse for $60, but since I have one in my 240 (too big for the 40), I'd like to get something different and hopefully cheaper.
Green and yellow wrasses used to be on the lower end of the price range.

Actually if I don't find exactly what I'm looking for today, Id be up for ordering one for later.
I'm going to do a FWE bomb today.

To everyone who recommended the FWE as a cure, I must apologize.
I've used it in low strenght doses before with limited success, and didn't think it a total cure, but tonight I did a high dose test on two nudi's and they absolutely fell apart in seconds.
I may start dipping all new zoanthids with FWE and skip the higher stress freshwater dips.
Now I have to dose the whole tank.

good to know thanks for sharing so it will stress them less than normal dip and still kill the bad stuff?

It seems to really do a number on the adults, but not the eggs. Still need to inspect for them.

On a side note, last night while I was looking for nudi's in my zoanthids, I started playing with that actinic led light I got from Chad and when the polyps were closed up, I could see little bumps with the led light, that couldn't be seen otherwise.
I'm wondering if the leds would light up and highlight the nudi eggs?
