Hi all, I have a question about zoanthids.
They seem to be getting spaces between the polyps.
Is this normal?
Or is it a bad thing?
Any info would be great. I have not had a problem with a single coral in my tank so far, thats why im not sure if its a normal thing.
Thanks!
Todd

tends to occur in low light and/or low flow environs. Check the niche its in in this tank and see if that does not fit the bill.

I bought a group of grren ones recently, under 150 watt MH, and in quite a high flow area in the LFS tank, and they been in the LFS for 2 weeks. do you think they came from the wild with wide spaces between the polyps?

Cheers
Dean

theres more then 1 type of zoo some grow really tight togeather and others spread more, have longer polyop steams and so on nothing serious to worry about
