zoanthind question

The tentacles (skirts I guess you call them) have a tendancy to get really long on the zoanthids in my tank. Is this a normal thing? Good? Bad? indifferent?
 
It's actually quite common as far as I know, especially if parazoanthus. It really depends on the exact species to be honest. Does the coral(s) give you any reason otherwise to think it's in poor health. Soft corals in general can/will extend themselves upward to get closer to a light source but if it's just the tentacle length, it's more than likely typical of the taxonomy.

thanks for the response. Actually they are not stretching for the light at all, they are flattening out. They look happy though.
