    The only thing I can say for sure is that there is no such thing as an extra register for the day, banks don't work that way. Even BECU that is huge in this area and a friend to small businesses would laugh at that. BR needs two registers like .1% of the time; I had no problem waiting 1.5 hours...

    Everything sounds good, generally acans are pretty hardy and if something were off in your tank they would be one of the last to show signs... I guess the next step would be to double check your params with different test kits and maybe give them a couple more days to respond to the water...

    Is this multiple colonies of acans or just one? What is your lighting and where are they placed? Have they been happy for a while previously or are they a new addition? Pics?

    The lamps only need to be a couple inches off of the water, you should be able to cut ~3 inches off safely. Or find yourself a 15g high, it's quite a bit harder to stock such a tall narrow tank though.

    Yes there is a lot of shimmer, I just have to be careful about how I set up my flow and water level because with LEDs the blue and white are coming from different points so they shimmer separately and it can turn into an undesirable fast disco ball type of effect instead of a slower pleasing...

    Thanks everybody :) Yeah I made a kiddie pool full of rock this summer and I still have about the same amount to make again before it gets too cold/wet and the white cement goes bad. It's kinda fun because you get to pick exactly what rocks you make but it's hard to make small interesting rocks...
