    Powder blue with ich

    I bought a powder blue tang 3 weeks ago and it have ich for 2 weeks straight now in my corentine tank. Salinity is 1.008-1.009. Been at that level for 2 weeks now. Change water every 2-3 days. Any ideas and curing this ich problem?

    My aquarium has been up for approx 8 months now with no purple coraline algae growing on the rocks yet. Thinking about adding the supplement but was hoping it will grow naturally. Also my Sunny D and chaos zoas is not liking the water. Want a stable tank before all my nice corals go ca-poop!!!!

    Thanks again every1. Went BR yesturday and replaced all my filter and media in my RODI. They also test my RO prior to replacing and they said it was good. Waking up this morning and mixed some IO to see if it is really my salt. After testing still reads 1600+. Sigh would the temp for water...

    Not sure what you mean by that? I tested my RO and it was good. This was a freshly made batch of salt water and the test was bad; what you mean by mix it in a new bucket? The bucket is bad? Wouldn't the test say the salt is bad?

    I just tested my new batch of salt water from IO and the MG is over 1600+. Bad batch of salt. Found the cause. Thanks every1 for the help.

    Thank you for every1's comments I do appreciate it. Will try to use kalk to raise the alk and CA. Once everything is were it should I will start dosing. Wish me luck.

    Tunze ato problem.

    I just added a ato to my tank and have a 7 gallon jug on side with RO. Came home today and saw it filled too much RO in my sump. The tunze warning sound came on but water was still running? Could my return line be too low causing run off without pump? Any suggestions?
