What kind of clean up grew?

I like my crabs to much... but then I add snails 500 at a time..

Who could take my tank continued.

LOL... As long as my fish and inverts are taken care of properly, in all honesty I don't care what happens in the event of my death to the equipment. I bet theres $30K in that set up at this point. I'm suprised its so hard to find a home for it if something happens to me. Although after they...

Who could take my tank continued.

LOL... I am bonkers most of the time. It's about all I (or in most cases Tink) can do from way overdoing it on projects. I was bad enough about that sort of thing when I was healthy.

Who could take my tank continued.

My chest is a mess from it but I'm still not dead so I suppose I can't argue much. I think it would take bolt cutters to get in there again from what I understand. It is frustrating to finally have the time for all the projects you always wanted to get to and not have your body agree with...

Who could take my tank continued.

I hate to think about it as well, but given my history I really should be. As far as I can tell, I shouldn't have lived through at least 2 of the surgeries. You know it isn't good when Dr Douglas is telling your parents that he's never tried anything like this before. My fear w/ going to the...

Rebirth of an old 300 gallon

LOL, this is why I use large tubs and pumps... Salt water is a great weed killer for the driveway. 200 gallons is only a 12% water change on my system.. If that. This is why I don't do them that often. I have a pretty light bioload in the scheme of things so I don't worry much.

Rebirth of an old 300 gallon

I have 6 buckets coming, I'm just not good at waiting. Takes a full bucket just to do a water change on this system.

Who could take my tank continued.

Looking forward to it, if I ever get back down to Seattle. I get traumatized going to Bellingham anymore. Lived in the boonies too long.

Rebirth of an old 300 gallon

Dang it... I have 3 projects on hold, and I'm ready to fire up the new skimmer but I need my salt to come in first. I'm running about 100 gallons low at the moment. And the post office did an impressive number on my package from reef cleaners as well looks like someone used it to catch a spear...

Who could take my tank continued.

I'm usually around somewhere. You're always invited. Everything is growing in nicely..

Who could take my tank continued.

Well, after 3 weeks of phone tag I finally got to talk to Andy Sims (the biologist at the Seattle Aquarium) and while they could take most of my livestock/rock and inverts, it doesn't sound like they would be interested in taking the equipment if something were to go wrong with me. So I...

    plz answer this question

I'd toss it in and let it kick start the cycle ahead of getting the live rock. So yes, I think you can use it.

Buying from websites, I'm new to saltwater

Read several of the threads on this sight and others. Salt water is not like setting up a FW tank where with a few chemicals, you can usually get fish to survive if you bring them home the same day as the tank. In most of these tanks, you need to build slowly, and plan ahead.

LOL... pop goes the photobucket. 10 gb bandwidth exceded... so I guess no one can see the fixture I built to replace the one thats got NO ballasts (until I get bulbs anyway.) until the 19th..

Rebirth of an old 300 gallon

Any time Dave.. I'm usually kicking around. LOL, I took over the garage for the tanks now. Though if I ever get my 1000 sq ft shop cleaned out....LOL. And back to the mangrove swamp.... I have my first leaves.... I have a couple right behind this one. Its weird, most people seem to get...
