    CO2 Scrubber?

With all my windows closed up my reef runs about 7.7-8.0 which makes me a little bit uncomfortable. Even a 0.2 increase would keep my pH close to or above 8.0 at all times. After doing a bit more research i think the product might be Soda Lime, which you can buy from medical supply stores. I'd...

    CO2 Scrubber?

While browsing around I found a link to a group called MCU Research that markets a "CO2 Scrubber" for reef tanks. I have a direct link to their product here. In principal it seems really, really cool as I have some low pH problems due to increased household CO2. I also can't open the windows...

    Another Berghia group buy???

Wow, I hadn't heard that rule before. In that case go ahead and sign me up for five instead of two. That still won't get me up to 1 per 10g, but these little buggers can be kinda expensive!

    Another Berghia group buy???

Im in for at least two, saying that someone in the spokane area will be able to hold them for me for maybe a few days so that I can drive up to Spokane on a weekend and pick them up. I might also be convinced to buy a few more if we're a few short of the free shipping.

    A whole new dimension!!!

Wow, I'm not much of a "rock wall" kind of guy but I really like Roscoe's aquascape. I think it because its a lot more three dimensional then most walls and has a lot of nooks and caves. Also, I don't know if theres a policy on linking to other sites, but this guy has an amazing set of...

    A whole new dimension!!!

I honestly think that looks like the perfect amount of rock for an aquascape! Gives you lots of room for fish to swim and grow some absolutely mammoth colonies. Then again, I do like really sparse looking tanks. How much more rock do you have left to go in?

    A whole new dimension!!!

Sounds like a plan! I had a 45 gallon brute rigged up with a float valve to stop my RO/DI machine so I filled up the brute with RO water and everytime it was full I pumped it into the tank and starting mixing saltwater using my vortechs as mixers. When it was halfway full and up the right...

    A whole new dimension!!!

Nah, mine is the standard 24" deep on a stand thats 24"-30". I'm sure the five foot height would make it more difficult.

    A whole new dimension!!!

I aquascaped my tank with salt water in the tank, and then added sand afterwards. Took awhile for the sand to clear but afterwards it was fine. Totally up to you, but if its a lot easier to mix it in the tank I'd say go for it.

Manta Ray (It's hard to take pictures through two foot thick acrylic....) Some kind of shark looking ray Its also hard to convey the true size of this 6.3 million gallon aquarium in pictures. Maybe this can help, a grouper that looks like a chromi compared to the whale sharks. Yes, that...

Things that didn't look so good.... Recession on an otherwise very nice Favites: Recently fragged favias: Bland (and few) stony corals: (nice duncan though!) And heck, if the Georgia aquarium can have Aiptasia, so can I! Overall, I still think their reef tank was cool.

Good looking colony of Turbinaria: Giant toadstool coral, but I've seen bigger: Not much color, but great bubbles on this nice size BTA: They really liked Euphyllia, these guys are everywhere! Same with gorgonians, I have never seen this many in one tank:

I had promised people I would get pictures of MCMAC up on this thread, but my vacation to SC snuck up on me. We flew into Atlanta and I got to go to the Georgia aquarium! Dial up beware, I took a lot of pictures! I think I'm going to start off with the reef section. Overall I think the corals...

    Senior Picture advice

For doing portraits I've always heard you want to keep your lens above 50mm to compress the background a little bit. Also an aperture of 5.6 is normally about right for keeping just the width of a normal human head in focus while blurring everything else out. Av is just easy mode manual where...

    10-20 Gallon tank setup

I love T5. Slightly less initial startup cost, unlimited choices of color combinations that all produce good PAR, lower wattage so lower power consumption over time, less heat transferred to the water... All that being said to make them even remotely more useful then normal fluorescent bulbs...

    10-20 Gallon tank setup

By inverts do you mean shrimps/crabs/snails or corals/clams? If you want corals then I would suggest getting a quality T5 fixture with individual reflectors (my personal preference, but I'm a T5 guy) or MH fixture if you're prepared to deal with potential heat issues in a small tank (fans that...
