Sweet - next time I'll provide the beer and you provide the arm? :p Being 5 feet 4 doesn't work well with the depth of my tank... :)

Recommendation on person to help clean/scrape tank

Thanks guys - I took a go at it last weekend and now I have a bundle of tank bruises that look like I've been man handled :) I make sure that people see pictures of my tank before they decide if my hubby is a toughie ;) Hope to see you at the next meeting

scooter and canary blenny with mandarin dragonette

oh yeah - I hear that - which is why some of it migrated to my fuge - I'll probably offload some when I get my stuff together - I'd let the tank just run for most of this year - and am now getting serious again about giving it a work over - spent last weekend bruising my arm chipping the...

scooter and canary blenny with mandarin dragonette

and I forgot to mention my LR - I think I'm at about 200lbs - too much I should think since my aquascaping has started looking like piles of rock ;)

scooter and canary blenny with mandarin dragonette

I have an established tank - about 3 1/2 years old, 125 display, 30 sump and 40 fuge. I've got pods up the wazoo ;) some of them are 1/4 of an inch these days - I was hoping to get them munched! I think that I have enough food - I'm mostly worried about compatability. Can someone expand on...

scooter and canary blenny with mandarin dragonette

Hey guys, So I'm thinking of adding a scooter, canary and mandarin blenny/dragonette to my tank - I also have a bicolor blenny already in there - will these guys get along? I think that their body styles are varied enough - any experience with this? Thanks!

Coraline build up - how do you clean the acrylic?

SOB! I was so excited about the easy blade :) Dang it! Lesson learned - NEXT time, (after we move probably) I'll look into a glass tank - seems like the benefit of having a tank that two people can lift is only important for a short time, whereas the issues of scratching and all that jazz...

Coraline build up - how do you clean the acrylic?

So I've been reefing for about three years (or is it four, can't remember) anyhow - I'm short and my tank is taller than my reach, and even with the longer handle on my Kent acrylic scraper I can't get the coraline on the lower quarter of the tank. How you DO deal with it? Thanks!

    Some inspiration--Those who are tankless...

Yay Ilham, if you need a grumpy clarkii to restart your breeding program I've got one with the taste for flesh ;) (which I'd be willing to donate to your cause!) But seriously, welcome back - I know that I'm glad to see you back again!

Recommendation on person to help clean/scrape tank

Hey Guys, As you've probably noticed, I've been off the forum for a while - work, school and the most current thing is making a baby - that seems to be taking some energy ;) Anyhow - My tank, although it is still in good shape, and I'm keeping it up - it is needing some TLC with the coraline...

~~Aprlil 19th, Bob Moore "Pay it forward" Frag Swap~~

Hey Guys, I wish I could have stayed longer to chat and visit - I was sorry I had to go as soon as I did! Thank you so much for the wicked frags - hopefully with a little time, I'll be ready to frag them back to you guys :) I sure hope so! Great job with set up and execution!

~~Aprlil 19th, Bob Moore "Pay it forward" Frag Swap~~

I can also bring some live rock - I think I over did it last time I was at the Shark Reef - also, I noticed earlier that someone was concerned about the time. Can we please do the raffle at 7:30? I have the same concerns about late hours as well :doubt:

~~Aprlil 19th, Bob Moore "Pay it forward" Frag Swap~~

Hey Ed, I really love the effort you are making in brining the club back to the spirit with which it was founded - help each other and we'll be successful. :) I'm happy to sacrifice 20 bucks for the thought that one day if I have a catastrophe in my tank, that maybe the person who I was nice...

    Clean up crew questions/help....

what do you intend to use the Nassarius for? I don't find them that helpful... I would keep more hermits personally - I find them a) more resilient and b) more useful :) I've also never had good functionality with stars, they can get agressive, I had a serpent who ate my gobies, anyone have...

~~Aprlil 19th, Bob Moore "Pay it forward" Frag Swap~~

I'm happy to bring an established RBTA (parent from Mojo), I've got some beautiful hammer (courtesy of Jesse last swap) which I can lop. Chaeto if anyone needs it... I've also got three varieties of plate - a light green (Luke), and orange monty (from Nemo) and a pink one (which is really slow...

The danger of false security - please advise

That's the oddest thing, I have one! It was showing .03 and I thought that it was fine - I think that it was spewing something I didn't have a kit for as I ran all that I had at it and it seemed fine!

The danger of false security - please advise

*Update* I changed out all of the RO/DI media and YIKES! I think I found my problem! It was pretty horrible in there! I have since done consecutive 20 gallon water changes each weekend (3 times) and will be doing another one today. It seems that the hair is slowing down. I've got a bit of...

The danger of false security - please advise

GREAT idea - I will enlist hubby to do this as we remove the 40 gallons during our water change this weekend. Yes, the water chemistry is a big impact I imagine - I intend to do a 40 gallon change this weekend and every weekend until I get this under control with the NEW RO/DI media... :) I...

The danger of false security - please advise

Hey Colleen, Thanks for the note - we were having issues prior to the sand removal - in fact, I recieved the advice that my sand was saturated (sigh, seems not so much now eh?) but 20/20 hindsight is valid :) You make a good point though - how can one be sure that the steps one takes to recify...
