    Making frozen food cubes

I will look into that. You're right, the Hikari packages disintegrate before I'm even done using them.

    crazy nice Italian tank

Where do you get the L Glutamine? Megamass 1000 down at the gym? Also, do you also turn the skimmer off when you dose the ReefPlus?

    Making frozen food cubes

Does anyone know where to get little "ice cube" trays to make frozen food in the little cubes like the Hikari foods, etc? Either that or bright ideas how to freeze my mush in little cubes rather than big sheets?

    RBTA Tragedy!!!!

Run lots of carbon, keep doing water changes with well mixed and aerated saltwater.

    240 Donkey Tank

Yeah it was quite a journey. There are always frustrations and although I tried to keep things low maintenance it still seems I'm spending a good 30-60 minutes per day (at least) to keep equipment running, test water, keep things clean, QT tanks running, you know how it is... the list goes on...

    240 Donkey Tank

Yeah that's it. Haven't mounted yet; not sure where I'm going to put him. But I have noticed quite a bit of growth in just a month.

    240 Donkey Tank

Definitely so. But at this point I've spent so damn much money on bulbs I'm just going with it as is for now. I think next time around I will try 400W Reeflux 12K's across the whole tank. I saw some at Barrier Reef and they were nice, but were overdriven on HQI ballasts. The ones on normal...

You win the prize. From left->right: XM 10K 250W, Hamilton 14K 400W, XM 10K 250W, XM 20K 400W. Call it an experiment. I think it looks great in the middle but don't like the sides. Also 4x110W VHO actinics.

Here's an updated full tank shot. Corals and fish are being added slowly but surely.

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

That sounds like just the ticket, keep us posted!

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

Makes perfect sense, now where can I get one?

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

Can you elaborate on this a little? Currently I am using a Brute for ATO and not a pressurized tank.

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

Well at this point I think it's the float valve. It's either faulty or poorly designed. I think I also need to look into some sort of system that won't just keep cycling my RO unit on and off to do sump topoff. Every 10 minutes or so my Litermeter will turn on the topoff pump and this will...

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

Well that didn't work either; I thought it might be the problem because in some dual membrane diagrams I've seen a check valve there. But now I'm pretty sure the problem is my float valve. I have one of the Spectrapure ones, and even though the reservoir looks full, I can still push up on the...

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

Ok I think I know what the problem is. I need a check valve between the combined outputs of membrane 1 and membrane 2, right before it goes into the ASV.
  17. Slickdonkey

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

I'm pretty sure it does. You can kind of see it in my "spaghetti picture" above.
  18. Slickdonkey

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

I'm pretty sure it's correct. There are two inputs and two outputs (two on either side of the ASV) and apparently it DOES matter which input goes where, because I had them backwards before and it wasn't producing any water at all. No, I only have one check valve. The diagram they sent me...

    Beta Testers needed..

Mine is still showing a link for some reason and not the image...

    RO/DI waste won't shutoff

Well not surprisingly, replacing the flow restrictor didn't help. I really hope the booster pump does, because I think I've replaced every single component in my system!
