Nano tank lighting, is it enough? Coral recommendations?

plenty of light indeed for literally anything you'd want to grow (the most demanding corals will just need to be kept at the top) the most important thing to remember is the bulbs need changed frequently for keeping corals healthy... likel every 4-6 months. You will see some corals suffer fast...

thank you for the very kind words, my friend :) I'm a very touch critic of work (others and especially mine) but I was very pleased with how this turned out. Especially the print and bindery job. I'm still limited by CMYK processes for color rendition... but hope to earn enoughg money to return...

    ATTN: Mr. Calfo

Coral Identification - Educating one's self about corals biology

in my fav links sticky, you'll see under recommended books two references that cover most hard (Veron) and soft (Fabricius and Alderslade) corals. Some folks have written hobby friendly content on the matter (Cesnales' dichotomous key to soft corals... illustarted now and published in my first...

    Is this Efflatounaria?

Always tough to say frmo pics alone, but Efflatounaria is really odd among Xeniids and this looks nothing like it (many folks says Efflatournaria looks like Cladiella/Colt corals... they do a bit) This coral has a hint of possibly being Cespitularia, but then again... if yours pulses and does...

    Kenya Tree Coral Care?

indeed.. they are not heavy feeders... and they are VERY aggressive (chemically noxious... they will displace most corals in time if left unchecked/unpruned) Give high PAR daylight and a hearty fish load grow them well.

    Question about Open Brain Coral

they definitely will nto grow over the lost skeleton (it is too expensively biologically to recover dead corallums) But you really shold saw away the dead skeleton (use a wet tile saw) and cut into the good tissue . Else the established calcareous and nuisance algae alike will eventually...

Yellow Spots on my Toadstool Leather

definitely necrotic patches... the beginning of a potentially dangerous (and virulent/contagious) infection, if the cause is poor water quality (poor water flow over time... less than 30X turnover... no carbon use and weak water changes that allow chemical allelopathic compounds to accumulate as...

    ATTN: Mr. Calfo

thank you for you kind words... and your offer my friend. I feel awkward about accepting help. I cannot afford to pay for good help and yet I am uncomfortable accepting free or discounted help. that really does sum it up... crabs are crabs. Its like being surprised a cougar cub bites or that a bird wants to fly from its cage. They are what they are.
