    Can someone who REALLY knowledgable on the subject 'splain the difference between the types?? I believe they are 1. Berlin, 2. Venturi, 3. downdraft? I believe the Urchin Pro I have is a "high effecientcy venturi" but I'm not sure...all I know is that if they made one big enough for me I'd buy it.

    well I'm trying to...but so far I haven't found one that EVERYONE seems to be happy with. It sounds like the Aqua C's are VERY sensitive to changes like your hands in the tank. Mine are in there often...I feed our corals with a turkey baster...and we have a deeper tank...so...in goes the arm...

    Since you're keeping corals I would go with the halide. Not sure if the glass lid makes a difference as long as you keep it clean. I believe that the 150W halide will penetrate the water with the correct kelvin temp to a depth of 18 inches.

    Try "Chemiclean" used as prescribed I had good results. Also if you skimmer is too small, or tank is new (not fully cycled) like ours...outbreaks are pretty common for the 1st year or so.

    we have a LPS dominated tank with only 1 SPS (just got yesterday) so far. I was dosing 4 capfuls of Kent Marine Iodine (red bottle) about every 8-9 days.
