Using invertebrates to test???
If you can't find any other way to test it to the levels you need. try calling local analytical labs and ask what the cost to test for copper in aquiouse sample would be. I work at one up here in Wa but sadly I'm in the conventionals lab and can't run metals tests whitch isn't much help for you...- menace78

Ya I just can't find one.:doubt: and as for the source water I already check my DI every month or so. last check: TDS 0 Salinity 0.0°% Conductivity 0.4µs I think I'll check my tap water now that I think of it on monday as well.- menace78

I work at an analytical lab and have access to alot of testing equipment including the Conductivity/Salinity/TDS probe. It's nice not to see the wall or the cords ect. hanging down behind the tank. Some people use lighter colors like blue and such to reflect more light and brighten up the tank as well. My water is turning green, Why?
+1 to the RODI water, and WC's with said RODI water. For a temporary cover up (won't fix the problem just the simptom) you could add a UV steralizer to the system. That's why I wasn't willing to rely on just the one float valve like some people do. DIY ATO with Float valves. need help finding the right valve!
I plan on adding an ATO to my sump with the float valves that just open the valve from 3/8" HDPE line. I would like to add another float that is just inline to stop flow to the second float as a backup but can't seem to find any that don't just open a valve into the sump.
