I am going to KILL my porcupine puffer...
Sounds like the puffer has what I call in my household....SFS....(Stupid Fish Syndrome and yes lol...I made it up myself). I had the exact same frustration. I bought a Kole Tang and do you think I could get him to eat...nope not at all. It was the most frustrating and guiltiest I have ever...- Tieg

SPS and Anemone in Nano
I have a 29 gal BioCube and in it the center piece is a plate size RBTA with 2 picasso's hosting in it. The only other type of coral is a few misc Zoos and some Kenya tree. Other then that its doing quite well. But I would not put any other corals in there. Thats what my 80 gal is for. ;)- Tieg

Picasso pics after a year
I was the same way when I first saw them at the fish store. I was thinking...these are not the picassos I usually see....but was assured by the LFS owner they would darken up considerably when they get older. Sure enough they have. Took them about 3-4 months but they really started to get...- Tieg

Clowns wont host Anemone
When I first started out I wanted a clown to host in anemone. We started with a false perc. It wouldn't host to save its life. About 5 months later we got an opportunity to purchase 2 picasso clowns which were fairly young. Within a week they were both hosting the RBTA that the false perc...- Tieg

baby mantis shrimps
Small pistol shrimp? The LFS was unpacking their live rock and there were small pistol shrimp in the bottom of the box...I was like "Whats that with the claws...one bigger then the other?" and he said small pistol shrimp. He gave me one to put in my tank but that evening it became a casualty...- Tieg

Thats the standard rule...but you know...we had our 30 gal tank with an established false perc and we introduced the pair of picassos and they more or less got along until i moved the false perc to the bigger tank.- Tieg

The false perc we had before we got the picassos would have nothing to do with any anenome...but the picasso's when introduced went immediately to the anenome...and a week later the false perc got the idea and drove the picasso's out as he was bigger and has been hosting ever since. Here is a couple of shots of my anenomes....the first is the RBTA that was taken about 4 months ago... This next one is the same RBTA which was taken a couple of hours ago...sucker got BIG!!! This other one is my GBTA with its host anenome crab...taken a couple of hours ago...I'm grooming...- Tieg
