This is our harlequin shrimp that we have had for going on a month and a half now. and with what I call his bagged lunch: As for how much we spend to feed him...I buy a chocolate chip starfish which is the starfish in the 2nd picture. They cost $6 from our LFS. He usually takes about a...

Actually, I was watching him after feeding some brine shrimp and some sort of frozen algae and he started munching like crazy on the shrimp. So I must be getting lucky ;)

    Harlequin Shrimp

Question: How often should this guy be fed? I see from one of the above replies that a idea is to get a blue star and keep it in a sump and cut off a leg and feed the shrimp...is that viable? The shrimp went through a whole choc chip star in 9 days and is currently on his 2nd(the 2nd pic is...

I just bought one a week and a half ago...about the only time I see them is after I have shut the lights off and just prior to going to bed...then he gets on a rock and waves his "pom poms" in the air and it looks cool. Glad I didn't spend more then $7 for him though...cause he is for sure...

    Harlequin Shrimp

We paid $40 for him...there was 2 of them...I took the smaller of the lot as we have a smaller tank and the other was sort of not standing up straight and was leaning to the side...although its my understanding that he was bought a day after me and is doing well. The starfish is a chocolate...

Anybody ever buy frags on EBAY?

My wife has bought 2/3s of her zoos on ebay...the biggest thing she looks at is the sellers feedback. Alot of sellers also will include a bonus frag and my wife recently bought a 10 frag pack for like $60 shipped....suppose to get it today.

    Toadstool Leather Placement

You mention that nitrates are pretty high....I was under the impression from my research as well as the info I have gotten from friends and 2 of my local vendors that any nitrate level under 20 ppm is good....nitrites and ammonia should be kept as close to 0 as possible...how is 2.5 for nitrates...
