say goodbye to my mandarin and gramma

I think you are confusing her with me. I had ich and it killed my hippo tang. I decided to move all fish to quarantine to clean the tank just in case, but there's one chromis that is not willing to move to the 'hotel'. It's been two weeks now since I started to try to catch him.

Ich: it has finally happened to me :-(

I learned my lesson and won't take the risk again. No fish will go into my tank without quarantine. That's after I manage to get my chromis out of the tank, that is! It can be frustrating to wait, but it's certainly better than being upset for killing fish.

Who are you? Here is me ;)

Hey spongebob_lover, I see you have found out about the wonders of Brazilian cuisine. I can defend myself pretty well there. I have to join PSAS soon and bring some snacks :-) I will love to hear about your husband's jungle experience. I never did went there myself, but will some day!

    Trigger/fair price?

saltwaterfish.com has free shipping for order over a certain amount, which I think it's $75 if I'm not mistaken.

Who are you? Here is me ;)

Actually, go to fifa.com and you will have all the World Cup history there. Ah, why did you have to start all the soccer talk, you got me going now! Can't wait for the world cup to start. Hey Trevor, looks like you did your homework. Most Americans I meet think we speak Spanish in Brazil.

Have a fish trap I can borrow? :-)

Further to my ich thread, I need a fish trap to get a blue chromis out of my display tank. I couldn't find a fish trap to buys anywhere in the Seattle area. Does anybody have one I could borrow for a couple of days? I promise to take good care of it. Thanks!

    Blue sponge turned white

So is there anything other than perhaps moving it to a lower light area in the tank?

Ich: it has finally happened to me :-(

OK, I will try this one. Where can I buy one around here? Better still, does anybody have one I could borrow? :-)

So you're saying it's alive but just bleaches out? Is there a way I can be sure of that? It should start to decompose if it were dead, right?

Ich: it has finally happened to me :-(

OK, so I tried to watch the "baby" go to sleep. It's behind the rocks in the back of the tank. Rearranging the rock work is not an option for me and I;m starting to think of extreme measures. Is there a way I can poison the fish with something (food, etc) without affecting the corals to kill...

    Blue sponge turned white

It was a WYSIWYG sponge. The pic is no longer available unfortunately. The site is extremecorals.com. I got other stuff from them as well and it's all looking great. They have great customer service too and seem very careful with their livestock. If the sponge is dying I would consider it to...

    Blue sponge turned white

Thanks, but blue sponges are different from other sponges. They are photosynthetic and require strong light to thrive. The online store requires a picture alright. I will take one when I get home.

    Blue sponge turned white

I did it as you said. I put the bag in the tank, opened it under the water and took the sponge out, never moving it above the surface. That obviously made the bag water get into my tank which I wasn't very happy about, but couldn't think of a better way of doing it at the time. Before opening...

    Blue sponge turned white

I understand, but if that had been the case, wouldn't it have died by the time it arrived here? It came all the way from Florida and looked very emmm... blue when it arrived. By the way, they offer stay alive guarantee, so I would expect them to be careful packing their animals. If they were...

    Blue sponge turned white

Well, I bought it online, so it's always a possibility. Having said that, it was really well packed and I wouldn't think it was exposed to air at any time, but you never know. This seems to be the only explanation, I suppose. It's such a shame though if it's dead. It was such a beautiful...

    Blue sponge turned white

Yes, I was VERY careful in that regard. I know these animals can starve if you don't feed them properly, but 1 day would rule this option out. I'm so anxious to go back home after work and see if it reacted to the lights after they came on.

    Blue sponge turned white

Hi everyone, I got a blue sponge yesterday and placed it in an area of strong flow and light in my tank. This morning it looked white. I'm just wondering if it's dead or if this can happen when the lights are off. Is there anything I can do about it?
