    Water changes Do you think I should let sit 7-10 days to let out other contaminates?? And I do stir to disolve salt (oceanic right now), as well as add dechlorinator and buffer. I'll take any advice to get these nitrates down. Will probably do another water change on Friday or the weekend...

    Hey thanks. Yes I know not to add salt directly and yes I have started letting my tap water for changes sit for at least 24, however, I did not know to add air or circulate. And good idea on the hygrometer, but its glass, not plastic, i don't know if that helps or not. Thanks, Will keep...

    I got it in a store in Bristol, VA. No longer in business... wonder why??? We've heard some of those goofs too, the best was mount your snails on the side or they will drown. I know the great big turbos can sometimes not right themselves, but they could have explained a little better!

    Yeah, "after" they sold it to me I looked up and found the clown tang is 15" fish!!! 10" will be big enough if thats what I got..

    I don't really think so... I went to that link and the lines on that fish are downward and back, mine are straight back and he has spots on his face/head. His body really looks a bit lighter than that all over. But who knows...I guess I'm stuck with him....

    Sorry, I keep not answering questions. I'm distraught you see, I was waiting on a beautiful fish!!! It was not more yellow when I first got. It was smaller and if anything looked a little more light blue under the light at the store. It color is pretty true on my photos.

    Oh, no it doesn't have yellow around its eyes that was what threw me off. The guy who sold it to me, well nevermind...... Do you know how long it takes a Kole to mature???? I've had this guy about 9 mos.

    Congrats!! I too have only 1, but she's 14 (I know...). Don't wait too long...my sister and I did with her first and we ended up giving the expressed milk to the dog! We were afraid to taste!!! HAHAHA

    I was wondering when that would come up...I was trying to keep at 1.022 or 3 and then after reading almost everybody keeps a little higher, I just (slowly) increased to 1.026. That is if my floating thermometer/hygrometer is correct??? That I do check daily! Got one thing right huh.... Hey...
