    Fuge question

Hi all, I have a question I would like opinions on. First some background. I have a ~ 1year old reef (65 gallon) that has been running on a fuge & skimmer. I have added a 125 reef to the house (yes, happy wife - not). The 125 has good skimming alone - no fuge. Anyway, I have both systems...

    Comon chiller between two tanks

Ok, here is a good brain teaser for all of you. I recently acquired another reef tank and have located it fairly close to my existing tank....bout 48" at a right angle. Both systems have a sump. One is a refugium and the other is a simple sump. Both have skimmers. My problem is, how can I...

Whats the Best Way to Move a Reef Aquarium?

Move is over - well almost The move of the 125 is 90% at this point. The 100 mile trip proved to be tougher that expected. It took us 3 hours to break down the 8 yo system and package ALL SPS, LPS, Fish & Rock. /the system was nicely established and I ended up wet shipping everything...

    Who's adding C-Balance?

To answer the C Balance question..........I just spent a month on the system and I found that there was a small increase in calcium and alk (very small using the sugested additive rates).........I plan to start the second part of my test that consists of simple bi-weekly water changes only. On...

    Please help stop the Bubbles

One way to get bubbles for sure is to have a small leak on the suction side of the pump. The smallest leak there would result in terrible micro bubbles and you may not be able to tell where. just a thought, -Rich

Auto shutoff on RO - How to do it?

I have a different approach to top off that works great. I have an under sink RO system with a 5 gallon accumulator tank for drinking water. I tapped into the tap line and ran 1/4" polly flow tubing to to a 24v dc, NC solenoid valve that is controlled with a float located in my sump near the...
