    I just swapped out two 250 watt magnetic ballasts for two ARO electronic ballasts and now my temp controller gives a unsteady temp reading thus causing the chiller and heater cycle on and off quickly. Turn lights off and problem goes away; never had any problems before this. Does anyone know the...

    How is your tank doing without a skimmer? Many reefers run skimmerless; I did it for years with excellent results. I have used most of the gadgets out there and as each year goes by and I remove one of them I realize it was never needed.

    I vote for this one: (1) MRC MR-1 with quick release upgrade and GenX-6000 pump http://www.acropora.net/protein_skimmers.htm Jiddy, I have never seen a needle wheel that ran outside of the sump.

    The Petco chain as a whole I find incompetent and a disservice to the hobby, so that is why I boycott them.

    Larry, there is nothing north of Seattle except for one shop in Mt Vernon, that is a lot real estate for one shop. However I see you live closer to the south end; just open two shops and that will double profits and make everyone happy! :)
