    Return Pumps

    Take a look at a Ehiem 1262. Nice pump for a return. I used one for a return when my sump was under the tank. my sump has now moved out to the garage so it's now used to supply my chiller. Been running strong for 1-1/2 have now with no issues.

    SeaClone/Sea Clown.. Junk also.. I have one I got before I knew better or found this forum. It's setting in a bucket collecting dust. I did get it to produce something though by drilling a hole in the top of it and assisting it with a wooden air block.

    Also move the stand pipe down some. This is the pipe that the water will exit the skimmer from. Moving this up or down will adjust the skimmer output. From what it sounds like you might have this to high. Also follow Trido advice on starting a new thread to get answers.

    I don't think it blew the tissue off, but stressed the coral more than anything. To much direct flow isn't good. I knew that but I just wasn't paying to much attention to the tank for a while and missed the fact the power head had fell.

    Slow Tissue Narcosis(I think that's the spelling), Rapid Tissue Narcosis. Basically the tissue of the coral recedes Slowly or Rapidly. Not sure whatt the true cause is though. I have some corals right now that are STN'ing a little. I haven't figured out why yet, but been looking. I think it...
